Day Habilitation Celebrates Holiday Tradition

For the past seven years, People Inc. day habilitation programs have celebrated a beloved holiday tradition, gathering with direct support professionals to create festive ornaments. They then make an annual trip to the Festival of Trees at the Niagara Falls Power Vista to place the ornaments on a tree that is donated to our agency by the event. Each year between 60 and 75 people served in the program take part in the festive tradition. Check out some photos from the fun day in action!

People Inc. was one of 140 local organizations recognized as a Buffalo Niagara Partnership Economic Champion at a happy hour celebration on Tuesday, Nov. 18.

People Inc. in the Media: Redeveloping DeGraff Memorial Hospital

People Inc. was recently featured in the media about its plans to redevelop the former DeGraff Memorial Hospital into a vibrant, mixed-use facility with senior housing, an employee training center, and a day habilitation program for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Friendsgiving in Action: Cooking, Laughs and Community

Last week, staff in People Inc.’s Community Habilitation program in Rochester, NY, hosted a Friendsgiving themed-cooking demonstration.
