The People Inc. Foundation hosted its annual golf tournament, The Drive Fore People Inc., on July 15 at Park Country Club in Williamsville for a sold-out roster of more than 140 golfers and community supporters. The event raised nearly $175,000 in support of People Inc.’s programs and services.

In one particularly exciting moment during the day, one golfer scored a hole-in-one on one of the grand prize contest holes, winning an incredible $10,000 prize.
After an exhilarating day on the course, guests enjoyed a wonderful evening of dinner, entertainment, a silent auction, and a brief program. One lucky guest was announced as the winner of the Golden Raffle, winning a four-night stay at an all-inclusive resort in Cancun, Mexico.
Each year, this fundraising event brings together corporate sponsors and donors in support of People Inc.’s mission to provide programs and services that enhance the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, seniors, the Deaf and hard of hearing community, and those seeking affordable housing.
“We are amazed by the consistent generosity from each of our sponsors who support this event. Each year, they come back to this event because they recognize the critical role our agency plays in enriching the quality of life for the people we serve and want to support our mission in the community,” said Erica Sammarco, senior vice president for advancement for People Inc. and director of the People Inc. Foundation.
Special thanks are extended to all of People Inc.’s sponsors, guests, and volunteers who made the event so successful, especially our Presenting Sponsor, Parkview Health Services, and the Hole-in-One Sponsors, including Creative Structures Services, Long Associates Architects, Upstate Pharmacy Ltd., and USI Insurance Services LLC.

Guests had the opportunity to bid on silent auction items, which included an outdoor patio heater, a shopping spree at Tops Markets, hotel and spa stays, and much more.

The event is made possible through corporate sponsors and donors (some even in matching outfits).

People Inc. board members, staff, and community supporters were all in attendance to support the agency’s annual fundraising event.

Guests enjoyed a light lunch before hitting the golf course for a full 18 holes.

There were many chances to win throughout the day, including a golden raffle, which offered a four-night stay at an all-inclusive resort in Cancun, Mexico.

People Inc.'s Young Adult Life Transitions (YALT) program participants from Lockport helped greet golfers and provide them with some free swag after checking in.

Some of the holes had different challenges for our golfers, including one where guests could win a new car.
