People Inc. was recently recognized with honors by Buffalo Business First and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield for our continued commitment to making lives and communities better for everyone.

Highmark Community Hero
Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York recently presented the Highmark Community Hero award to People Inc. Anne McCaffrey, People Inc. President and CEO, and Robert T. Mayer, vice chair-person of People Inc.'s Board of Directors, went on the field to accept the honor during the Jan. 4 Buffalo Bills game against the New York Jets.
Highmark's Community Hero program highlights influential non-profit organizations in the Buffalo community at each regular season home game. In addition to recognition during the game, Highmark presented our agency with a $2,500 donation.

Buffalo Business First: Company of the Year Honoree
People Inc. was recognized by Buffalo Business First as a "2025 Company of the Year Honoree." This recognition celebrates our agency's growth, leadership and meaningful impact across Western New York.
"Led by Anne McCaffrey since 2023, People Inc. has found ways to pivot when funding streams are interrupted, providing ongoing services to its core client base while adding new people that also require similar services," the article said.
The article also cited the growth of self-direction, increases in affordable housing projects and the merger and acquisitions with smaller non-profits as reasons for this honor.
