A Night of Celebration to Remember
May 19, 2025
More than 300 People Inc. supporters attended “A Night of Celebration” on April 30 to celebrate a year of achievement and the far-reaching impact of People Inc.’s programs and services. The event helped the People Inc. Foundation raise $85,000 to support our mission.
The atmosphere was lively, with dinner, mingling, and vibrant dancing and musical performances by the Traveling Troupe, a talented group of People Inc.’s ArtsWork performers. Additional highlights included a silent auction and highly sought-after “Golden Raffle,” featuring a grand prize of a five-night stay in Europe.
In remarks to the crowd, Anne McCaffrey, People Inc. president and CEO, emphasized the accomplishments of the past year, including the expansion of the ArtsWork program, increased wages for direct care employees, construction of affordable housing, and more. The night’s speakers also specifically highlighted the agency’s focus on implementing new assistive technology, like the Obi, which is a medical device that helps people eat independently.
“These devices, which are constantly evolving, can make it possible to stand, to transfer to and from services, to eat, bathe, and perform other daily functions. The goals of this technology are rooted in independence, safety, and convenience,” said McCaffrey.
