Understanding Down Syndrome, IDD and Dementia
The Alzheimer's Association Western New York Chapter invites families and staff to attend "Understanding Down Syndrome, IDD and Dementia: Awareness, Diagnosis and Care," a free conference that explored how Down Syndrome and intellectual and developmental disabilities relate to dementia. The event takes place on Friday, March 20 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Participants will learn about early signs, diagnosis and practical, person-centered care strategies through expert presentations.
Attendees can join virtually or in person at People Inc. Rehabilitative Services, located at 800 Hertel Ave, Buffalo, 14207. A resource fair will be available throughout the conference for those who opt to attend in person.
