It was a busy summer at People Inc. From community events and employee celebrations, People Inc. staff have been out and about all season long. Take a look through the photo gallery below to see some of the moments that made up summer 2026.
Community Events
Throughout the summer, People Inc. employees also took part in events to advocate for inclusion, raise awareness and make a difference in the community. Scroll through the photo gallery to learn more about each one.
Puerto Rican & Hispanic Day Parade of WNY:
The People Inc. DEI team, advocates, employees and their families joined together to celebrate Puerto Rican and Hispanic Heritage by marching and dancing along with the community.
Juneteenth Celebrations:
As a proud sponsor of the Juneteenth Festivals, People Inc. was represented in the Buffalo parade. During the Rochester Juneteenth Festival, staff met with members of the community.
Pride Celebrations:
People Inc. celebrated LGBTQIA+ Pride this summer, walking alongside a decorated vehicle in Buffalo. Staff also volunteered at information tables at the Rochester Pride Picnic and the Wellsville Rainbow Revolution.
Disability Pride Festival:
In celebration of the 36th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), People Inc. proudly sponsored this year's event. The Advocacy Team represented the agency at the annual festival held at Buffalo Riverworks.
United Way's Day of Caring:
Members of the Self-Directed Services Team contributed to the community by supporting the grounds crew at Concordia Cemetery during the United Way's Day of Caring.
JP MorganChase Corporate Challenge:
A team of People Inc. staff joined forces with other nonprofits for the annual Corporate Challenge in Buffalo, where people of all abilities walk or run a 3.5-mile race.
Employee Appreciation Events
The Strong National Museum of Play
New this year, People Inc. employees and their families headed to The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester on August 12 for a fun-filled evening of play.
The Buffalo Zoo
People Inc. employees and their families had the zoo to themselves on August 19 for a private evening filled with animals, a picnic and beautiful weather.
