Three People Inc. staff members have recently been recognized by Buffalo Business First for their work in enriching the lives and communities of the people we serve.

Anne McCaffrey, president and CEO at People Inc., was recently listed as #29 on Buffalo Business First’s Power 250 List. This list, compiled by Buffalo Business First, highlights the most powerful business leaders in Western New York. The honorees were noted for the parameters of their job, the number of employees in their organization, community activities and the overall impact of their influence.

Maralyn Militello, Buffalo Business First Excellence in Health Care Award

Maralyn Militello

Maralyn Militello, chief program officer at People Inc., was recently announced as a Buffalo Business First 2026 Excellence in Health Care honoree. This award recognizes the top men and women in the WNY healthcare industry whose work has improved the way the health system works in WNY hospitals, labs, clinics, nonprofits and health facilities. Militello was noted for her work in improving the health and safety of thousands of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and for establishing a unique nurse practitioner program that brings medical care directly to people in residential settings.

Beth Duncan, Buffalo Business First Impact Award

At the 2026 Buffalo Business First Impact Awards on February 12, People Inc. Program Director Beth Duncan received an Impact Award in recognition of her steadfast commitment to fostering inclusion and belonging. The award celebrates leaders in the community who champion inclusive practices and create environments where everyone feels valued and supported.

As Program Director in Day Services, Beth oversees both certified and community-based programs, including Young Adult Life Transitions (YALT) in Lockport, Arts Experience, senior day habilitation and the agency’s pet therapy program.
