Whether encouraging people served to follow their passions, ensuring their health and safety, or just being a kind and supportive presence, People Inc. DSPs were noted for their heroic work in making a difference in the lives of the people we serve.

One medical professional wrote, “Our whole office just saw them treat the patient with such incredible respect and care—it was honestly refreshing. You don’t always see that kind of dedication, but it was crystal clear that they genuinely cared about the person they were looking after.”

Another submission described a DSP as a "cheerleader, party organizer and community activist—the one who gets the whole house involved in planning a porch picnic or backyard barbecue."

The DSPs were formally honored for their outstanding service during a celebratory awards ceremony at Classics V on Oct. 31.
