With many programs and locations throughout the region, People Inc. is sure to fit each person's needs and interests. Our programs are designed to promote each person in their journey to reaching their full potential. A strong focus is placed on community integration, health, wellness and volunteering, so all are able to participate and become active members in their communities. Each program is unique, but you will find caring, dedicated, trained and experienced staff across the board.

Community Active People Program (CAPP)

Erie

In this program, participants work to increase their community independence and build skills to reach personal goals.  A strong emphasis is placed on volunteer work.  Each year, participants look forward to the annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon.

Transportation: Varies by location, options include NFTA Metro/ Paratransit, Cedar Bus Company, program staff for participants who reside nearby.

Personal Enrichment Program (PEP)

Erie with supplemental day hab in Central Region

An alternative day habilitation program that provides a fun and safe environment to learn and grow for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Staff work with participants to achieve community-oriented goals. Goals are determined by the person’s interests and needs and may include socialization skills, budgeting and money transactions, community safety skills or learning how to make friends.

Erie, Niagara and Chautauqua (Northern)

With numerous Day Programs and Day Habilitation Without Walls (DWOW) sites throughout Erie, Niagara and Northern Chautauqua Counties, we are sure to have a program for each person’s needs and interests. Although each program is unique, you will find that each site is filled with caring, trained and experienced staff. Our programs are dedicated to promoting each person reaching their full potential. A strong focus is placed on community integration, health, wellness and volunteering, so all are able to participate and become active members in their communities.  

All Day Habilitation Programs operate Monday through Friday. Arrival and dismissal times may vary by location. Geographic preferences and availability are reviewed at time of admission.

Agapé Day Hab - Hamburg, NY
Site-based day hab • GDH • Region: South

Program Highlights: This program offers participants a wide range of options to become involved in their surrounding community, from volunteering to recreational activities!
Note: Nursing supports are available.  

The Arts Experience - Buffalo, NY 
Site-based day hab • GDH • Region: Central/City

Program Highlights: If you are looking for a program that specializes in the fine arts, this is the place for you! Self-expression is mastered through the arts; from music, drama, visual art and dance to creative writing and film study. The site has a working dance studio, a film-editing room and well-stocked art and writing space. Classes are facilitated by qualified artists and educators.

Bailey Day Hab - Amherst, NY
Site-based day hab • GDH • Region: Central

Program Highlights: This program prides itself on its wide selection of outings and opportunities offered to participants. Each day is filled with recreational and volunteer activities!

Brighton Park Day Hab - Tonawanda, NY
Site-based day hab • GDH • Region: North
Program Highlights: If you have an interest in gardening and ceramics, this is the place for you! Participants enjoy gardening at the in-program greenhouse, in addition to the backyard patio. Many also take part in making ceramics and volunteering throughout the local community.
Note: Article 16 occupational and physical therapy available for those who qualify in addition to nursing supports. 

Broadway Day Services - Cheektowaga, NY
GDH • Central/East
Program Highlights: At this program, on-site activities provide opportunities to enhance daily living skills by presenting people with a wide range of subject areas such as academic skills, social skills, and health and nutritional awareness.
Note: Article 16 offers speech therapy for those who qualify, in addition to nursing supports.

Delaware Day Services - Tonawanda, NY

Program Highlights: If you are looking for a unique blend of activities, community outings and volunteer opportunities, this is the place for you! Participants look forward to the annual Car Wash and Fall Festival.

Elmwood Day Services - Buffalo, NY 
Site-based day hab • Region: City/Central

Program Highlights: Home to many innovative programs, including Our Voice, an in-house newsletter operated and supported by participants; and a Spanish/English bilingual group, just to name a few! Participants enjoy taking part in many unique projects and specialty groups that are going on, such as the “Corner Store."

Hamburg Day Services - Hamburg, NY
Site-based day hab • Region: South

Program Highlights:  If you enjoy arts and crafts, games, puzzles and music, this is the place for you! The site has a variety of rooms which can be customized to meet the needs of each person, as well as a outdoor area for all to enjoy. This site is a wonderful resource for those who have heightened behavioral health needs.

Indian Church Day Hab - Buffalo, NY
Site-based day hab • Region: South

Program Highlights: Take part in activities ranging from cooking/baking, sensory, crafts, music and gardening! This program is a wonderful resource for those who need medical and physical accommodations.  
Note: Article 16 occupational and physical therapy available for those who qualify in addition to nursing supports. 

Lincoln Day Services - Depew, NY
Site-based day hab/DHWW • Region: East

Program Highlights: This site supports interests of those who like to be out and about! There are several community activities ranging from volunteering to recreational-based outings. Many participants love to learn and improve their technology skills in our Tech4Life Lab!

Main Street Day Services - Buffalo, NY
Site-based day hab • Region: City/Central

Program Highlights: This site offers a wide selection of activities, ranging from dancing to cooking groups! Participants enjoy helping out and getting involved in projects to support local organizations. Some favorite events are the annual Thanksgiving Luncheon and Holiday Party!

Orchard Park Day Services - Orchard Park, NY
Site-based day hab • Region: South

Program Highlights: Each group is geared to a different interest! Participants enjoy volunteering as well as taking part in a wide range of options from crafting and ceramics to learning how to cook! Orchard Park is also home to a community group that focuses on increasing community independence through volunteer work and other activities.

Park Place Day Services - Silver Creek, NY
Site-based day hab • Region: South

Program Highlights: Park Place is an active site that gives back to the local surrounding community including involvement in the local Chamber of Commerce and helping out with local events such as 5K events.
Note: Therapy supports available, including speech, occupational and physical therapies, in addition to nursing.  

Senior Day Services - Buffalo, NY
Site-based day hab • Region: Central

Program Highlights: This program caters to the needs of older adults with disabilities. Activities include Tai Chi, meditation, pet therapy, laughter yoga, bingo, cooking, baking, exercise, karaoke, poetry and much more!
Note: Article 16 offers occupational, physical and speech therapy for those who qualify.
 

Day Hab Without Walls (DHWOW/DHWW)

Day Hab Without Walls offers a range of options to support each person’s needs and interests. Options include:

DHWOW Learning Exploring and Preparing (LEAP) 
DHWOW Young Adult Life Transitions (YALT) - locations in Niagara and Erie County
DHWOW Erie County
DHWOW through Residential 
Our agency offers a wide selection of options listed above. Program participants become active members of their communities through volunteer work and recreational opportunities. This program does not offer nursing or other medical supports. Participants must be independent with medication administration. Transportation may or may not be provided based on each DHWOW service. For specific information regarding DHWOW services, call 716.817.9084.

Artisan's Edge - Niagara Falls, NY 
DHWW • Region: North

Program Highlights: If you are looking for a place to let your inner artist to run free, this is the place for you! Classes include painting, sculpting, prop-making, photography, music, movies and creative writing. 
Note: Nursing supports are not available. All participants must be able to self-administer medications.

Community Active People Program (CAPP)
