Brian Smith joined People Inc. in 2023 and is responsible for People Inc.’s real estate development activities, facilities and tax credit property portfolio. His role is instrumental in advancing the agency’s strategic priorities related to housing, infrastructure and long-term asset management. He holds a master’s degree in urban planning and a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University at Buffalo. In 2025, he was recognized by Buffalo Business First as a 40 Under 40 winner.
