People Inc., Mt. Olive Development Corporation, project funders, and several government and community leaders celebrated the start of construction of a $27 million affordable apartments initiative on property adjacent to the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, located at 701 E. Delavan Avenue in Buffalo on Monday, September 18.
Mt. Olive Senior Manor was a dream of the late Rev. Dr. William Gillison Jr., and his family is continuing to make it a reality in partnership with People Inc.

Where Friends and Fun Meet!
People enrolled in our Hamburg-based Southtowns Afternoon Respite spent time doing lots of fun activities this summer, including visiting a number of local attractions. Staff took special care to plan each trip, catering the group’s schedule to attendees’ wants and needs. From sporting events to skill-building, there were tons of things to do and see. Providing safe, affordable and well-managed apartments is a key focus of People Inc. We are excited to be part of the next chapter for the former Women and Children’s Hospital building with the opening of our Folwell Senior Apartments.
