The exceptional professionals who support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities bring the People Inc. mission to life every day across group homes, day programs, respite programs and in the community. A recent Awards Breakfast was a great opportunity to celebrate those employees who were named People Inc. “Direct Support Professionals of the Year,” an elite group nominated by their peers, people served, and family members. The winners were honored for their dedication, commitment and talents.

Buffalo Power 100 List Includes People Inc.’s Bradford Watts

Bradford Watts, Associate Vice President for Community Relations & DEI at
People Inc., was named to the 2024 Buffalo Business First list of the top 100 Powerful Business Leaders of Color. Watts is a passionate advocate for human rights and making our region a better place for all. He is well known for the relationships he builds across the community and for his championing of the People Inc. mission.

Celebrating Workers with Disabilities & Their Employers

Each October, National Disability Employment Awareness Month acknowledges the value and talents that workers with disabilities add to workplaces and the economy. Several hard-working employees are highlighted this year, along with their employers, Walgreens and Brothers of Mercy Wellness Campus. The two businesses have created inclusive cultures where people with intellectual and developmental disabilities have found meaningful employment opportunities.
