iCanBikeImg Learning to ride a two-wheeled bicycle is a major milestone in anyone’s life. When learning is a challenge, the accomplishment and its impact can be even greater. iCan Shine Bike Camp (iCanBike) uses adapted bicycles, a specialized instructional program and trained staff to enable individuals with disabilities to learn to ride a two-wheeled bicycle.

The iCanBike Camp will take place July 8 - 12, 2019, at the Buffalo Niagara Court Center (BNCC), 425 Meyer Road, West Seneca, NY 14224. A mandatory meeting for parents/caregivers only will be held on Sunday, July 7, from 3 – 4 p.m. at BNCC.

Requirements for participation:

  • Minimum of 8 years of age
  • Able to sidestep to both sides
  • Have a disability
  • Able to attend camp all 5 days
  • Able to walk without assistive device
  • Maximum weight 220 lbs.
  • Willing and able to wear a properly-fitted bike helmet
  • Minimum inseam of 20” (measure from floor while rider is wearing sneakers)
  • Information regarding the rider's health and disability must be disclosed to ensure that camp staff and volunteers can properly serve the rider's needs.

The cost is $175 for early registration but will increase to $200 on May 1, 2019. To register and pay online, complete the form below.
