Access To Home

People Inc., with the support of the NYS Division of Housing and Community Renewal, is the proud recipient of the Access to Home Award. This program assists individuals living throughout WNY by creating an accessible home environment. The Access to Home program provides financial assistance with home modifications for seniors and individuals with disabilities in order to prevent movement into a nursing home or other types of assisted living centers. Previous projects and adaptations include: Wheelchair ramps and lifts, bathroom modifications with roll-in showers and grab bars, stair glides, doorway widening to allow free movement of wheelchairs and automatic doors. Entering our fourth year, we look forward to assisting individuals in Erie and Niagara counties.
