disABILITIES Film Festival and Speaker Series continues with Family Day
An opportunity to spend quality time with your kids
What:
Families may be looking for an escape from the flurry of the surprise storm. People Inc.’s disABILITIES Film Festival will provide an opportunity for families to spend quality time together in a fun and educational setting! The Museum of disABILITY History, a project of People Inc., will host the 2nd Annual disABILITIES Film Festival and Speaker Series every Saturday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the month of October. The series continues with Family Day with three short movies being featured: The Great Little Mouse, Smudge, and Educating Peter. People Inc.'s Kids on the Block Educational Puppet Troupe will perform! There will also be free raffles, popcorn, and a toy for kids. Admission is free.

Dipson Market Arcade Film and Arts Center, 639 Main Street in Buffalo.

Free of charge.
Why:
The goal is to provide entertainment and information while exploring issues faced by people with disabilities. The programs are intended to educate viewers about disabilities and challenge stereotypes. In addition to the movies, Kids on the Block will perform, which is an internationally acclaimed program that educates children about acceptance of differences through the use of puppet theater.
