Scholarship Winners’ dedication a common theme
On August 22, 2007 seven People Inc. employees will each be awarded a $2000 scholarship by the People Inc. Foundation. Candidates were selected for their dedication and commitment to the individuals People Inc. serves.

Vanner Foundation Scholarship Luncheon: People Inc. Foundation Board members, senior management, and family members will recognize seven scholarship winners.
When:
Wednesday, August 22, 2007; Noon

Park Country Club, 4949 Sheridan Drive, Williamsville, NY 14221
Why:
The People Inc. Foundation Board raises funds to award scholarships to support employee career development within the agency, providing financial assistance to students currently enrolled in Fall 2007 classes that will enhance their ability to achieve their career goals with People Inc.
Seven applicants will be awarded a People Inc. Foundation Scholarship of $2,000 each. Potential awards were available to the following educational categories: human services, nursing, education, and therapy (physical, occupational, speech, behavioral health.)
Each applicant completed at least one year of service with People Inc. and submitted an application with a 1-2 page biography and two letters of reference.
A Selection Committee reviewed all application materials and selected scholarship winners.

- Stacie Dopko – service coordinator – pursuing Masters in Social Work at UB
- Amy Mazurkiewicz – program administrator – pursuing Bachelor in Social Work at Buffalo State College
- Christy Ferriter – service coordinator – pursuing Masters in Social Work at UB
Nursing category:
- Chantelle Nappo – team leader – pursuing Nursing Degree/RN from Trocaire College
- Meghan Kutas – program administrator – pursing Nursing Degree/RN from ECC
Education category:
- Amy Chase – program administrator – pursuing Bachelor in Special Education from Buffalo State
Therapies category:
- David Armstrong – behavior specialist – pursuing Masters in School and Mental Health Counseling at Canisius
