People Inc.’s Elmwood Health Center Offers Wellness Programs
Program helps individuals with developmental disabilities meet health goals

BUFFALO, N.Y. May 30, 2006: People Inc.’s Elmwood Health Center is offering a free Health and Wellness program to individuals with developmental disabilities who live with their family, family-care providers, or independently in the community. The program is designed to help individuals meet personal health goals such as weight loss or to increase their energy.

The sessions last approximately six to eight weeks. The Elmwood Health Center’s professional staff work with individuals to help them develop personal health goals and create a plan of how to meet them, identify and overcome bad health habits, and learn about healthy food and fun activities that can help them stay fit.

For more information about the Elmwood Health Center’s Health and Wellness Program, call Program Administrator JoAnne Fall at 874-4500, ext. 212. This program is funded through the Developmental Disabilities Services Office Family Support Services.
