Children do not come with an instruction book, but help is available for parents. People Inc. is offering a chapter of the Incredible Years Program, which offers research-based, proven programs for reducing aggression and behavior problems in children and increasing social competence at home and school. The program will teach parents how to cope with the stresses of parenthood, avoid power struggles, determine appropriate consequences and develop creative and imaginative play. The free, 12-week training will begin in August at People Inc.'s Elmwood Health Center, 2128 Elmwood Ave., Buffalo. For information or to register, call JoAnne Fall at 874-4500, ext. 212.
