People Inc. hosts meeting with Federal, State, and Local Officials at Agency HQ’s

In July, People Inc. hosted a meeting for 40 elected officials from federal, state, county, and local governments throughout Western New York. “This event was designed to educate elected leaders and their staff representatives regarding the diversity of People Inc.‘s programs and services and demonstrate the agency’s effectiveness in the community,” said People Inc. President and CEO James M. Boles, Ed.D.

“We wanted to get the message out to our elected leaders that we provide services from birth to senior services as well as health care services,” said Rhonda Frederick, chief operating officer. People Inc. views its depth and potential as something they want to make sure their elected leaders keenly understand. “We are positioning ourselves as a resource for our elected leaders to tap into when they need advice or expertise on reforming healthcare and Medicaid, caring for the elderly, as well as providing services for the developmentally disabled,” said Kevin Horrigan, director of public affairs. The 4th Annual People Inc. Foundation Drive Fore Disabilities Golf Tournament will be Monday, August 29 at the East Aurora Country Club. Space is still available for golfers and sponsorships. Museum of disABILITY History open for tours
People Inc.’s unique Museum of disABILITY History is open for tours. As long as there have been people, there have been people with differences. To acknowledge and honor these differences, People Inc. has created the Museum of disABILITY History. The Museum is committed to the story of the lives, the struggles, and the successes of people with disabilities. The Museum of disABILITY History is dedicated to the collection, preservation, and display of artifacts pertaining to the history of people with disabilities.
