35 Years of People Inc... and we are just getting started!
August 14, 2006 commemorated a remarkable 35 year anniversary for People Inc. In 1971, a group of concerned parents and community members came together to create a resource for one another – 35 years later, People Inc. has become Western New York’s largest non-profit human service agency, a leader in providing innovative programs and services to over 10,000 Western New Yorkers.
Today, People Inc. offers a wide range of services including residential opportunities, day programs, family support, vocational services, information and referral, recreation opportunities, children’s services, senior services, health care, community outreach, and the Museum of disABILITY History. Through all of this growth, the mission remained the same: assisting individuals to have more independent and fulfilling lives. Thank you to all who have been with us through the years and will be for years to come! People Inc. is pleased to provide services for thousands of people with special needs.

Congressman Thomas Reynolds shares his thoughts about People Inc.’s 35th anniversary:
“People Inc. has been a vital institution in our area for 35 years. They have provided services and opportunities for people that may not have received those without the help of People Inc. I am proud to have worked with People Inc. and supported their efforts for the past three decades and look forward to working with them in the future.”
