People Inc. Partners with Neighborhood Information Center, Inc.
During the week of April 23-29, the two agencies will commemorate
National Victim Rights Week with a free luncheon
BUFFALO , NY, April 21, 2006: Through its recently developed merger with Neighborhood Information Center that focuses on crime victims assistance to the elderly, “People Inc. at NIC,” as the partnership is called, is announcing the two agencies will commemorate the 26 th anniversary of National Victim Rights Week, which takes place April 23-29, 2006. The theme is “Victims Rights: Strength in Unity,” which pays tribute to crime victims and survivors who have joined together in mutual support and advocacy to promote victim’s rights and services.
To help launch this awareness week, People Inc. and the Neighborhood Information Center will hold a free luncheon on Tuesday, April 25, noon, at St. Stanislaus Social Center at 389 Peckham St. in Buffalo. This event will be held in recognition of crime victims, their families, victim advocates, law enforcement, criminal justice professionals, and volunteers. Erie County District Attorney Frank J. Clark is the featured speaker.

The Neighborhood Information Center Crime Victims Assistance Program is a victim assistance program servicing crime victims and their families on the greater East side of Buffalo. Crime victims and survivors are assisted with Crime Victims Board claim applications, support counseling, and referrals to assist them with their immediate needs.
