disABILITIES Film Festival and Speaker Series
Where will you be Saturdays during the month of October? The 2nd Annual disABILITIES Film Festival and Speaker Series, hosted by the Museum of disABILITY History, a project of People Inc., has planned an exciting event for the Western New York community. It takes place every Saturday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the month of October at the Dipson Market Arcade Film and Arts Center, 639 Main Street in Buffalo. Admission is $2 per person and free for students.
The Film Festival targets movie-goers, students, educators, families, self advocates, and human service professionals. The goal is to provide entertainment and information while exploring issues faced by people with disabilities. There will be a presentation and discussion following the showing of each film.
