Residential Programs

Its largest focus area, People Inc. operates more than 100 group homes for individuals with developmental disabilities across Western New York. Residents can choose a variety of arrangements and locations for community living and enjoy a home-like setting that is safe and comfortable. In addition to more traditional group homes and supportive apartments, innovative "Person-centered" housing is being developed. Other alternatives are Family Care Providers who accept an individual with a developmental disability to live in their home as part of their family. The NYS CARES Initiative Options for People Through Services (OPTS) projects has enabled People Inc. to continue presenting diverse housing options and alternatives for individuals with disabilities.
