Halloween Prevention Tips

  1. Masks are not recommended because they can obstruct a child's vision.
  2. Makeup should be non-toxic and hypoallergenic.
  3. Costumes should be flame-retardant and fit properly. Avoid oversized shoes, high heels and long skirts or pants that could cause a child to trip and fall.
  4. Children trick-or-treating after dusk should have reflective tape on their costumes and carry a flashlight.
  5. Small children should never carve pumpkins, let parents do the cutting.
  6. Never leave lighted pumpkins unattended.
  7. Do not allow children to cut across lawns. There could be objects on the lawns that you cannot see.
