SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL SERVICES (SES):
People Inc. is providing free after-school tutoring in reading to students in the Buffalo City School District and Sweet Home Central School District. This tutoring service is available to eligible students 9 years of age or older, and receiving a free or reduced-price lunch. Tutoring instruction is provided in a small group (two students to one tutor) or individualized (one student per tutor) setting. Each student is required to attend at least two, one-hour sessions of tutoring per week. The goal for the tutoring program is to strengthen each student’s reading skills and increase his/her academic performance and self-confidence.
Convenient tutoring locations are determined based upon the needs of the students.
Eligibility: Buffalo City School District and Sweet Home Central School District students 9 years of age or older, receiving a free or reduced-price lunch.
